Registered with the Sports and Recreation Commission of Zimbabwe, The Zimbabwe Skateboarding Association or ZSA as commonly referred to, is an organisation established for the advancement of Skateboarding, rollerblading and all other roller sports related disciplines.
The association is passionate about pioneering and overseeing the breakthrough of skating related activities in Zimbabwe. As a globally recognized sport, which has now been taken up by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Skateboarding and other skate related disciplines is rapidly becoming a staple in many countries around the world. Zimbabwe Skateboarding Association is committed to seeing Zimbabwe adopt the sport competitively by the year 2025.
ZSA will be governed according to and in alignment to global skating regulations and standards, and will ensure that skating activities within Zimbabwe will be in full compliance of these standards. It will further abide by the national laws of Zimbabwe that govern all Sport Associations and the Sports and Recreation Commission Act. Encouraging skating clubs in the country that may wish to start up, to register with the organisation for the necessary guidance and assistance as well as be active affiliates towards growing the sport in Zimbabwe.
VISION
To be the sole regulatory body overseeing the growth and continual development of skateboarding as a competitive sport in Zimbabwe. To nurture and develop globally competitive skaters and local skate venues by 2025.
MISSION
Our Mission is to oversee, match and regulate all acceptable standards of operation within the sport of Skateboarding in Zimbabwe. To act in accordance with the mandate of the World Skateboarding Federation International Olympic Committee, and in compliance with by-laws stated by the Government of Zimbabwe and its associated ministries. To facilitate the support of Cooperatives, NPO’s, Government and Private Sector towards the development of skateboarding in Zimbabwe.
